“Morbark’s infeed design has a much larger infeed
than either Vermeer’s Model 2000 or the Bandit Model
1850. That reduces the preparation time as we can feed larger
limbed material than the competition.
The Vermeer unit utilizes a lot of tin and lighter gauge steel
in their unit. This makes servicing the Vermeer more difficult
as you need to remove needless covers to access the machine
and the overall integrity is lighter than Morbark’s.
The Bandit Model 1850 has no trap door under the bottom feed
roller leaving material build up all over the ground. Morbark
has a trap door that can be either opened or closed depending
on material and location of the job site.
The Morbark Model 2400 tows very nice and is easy to back
