Morbark DeNubber™ Debarker Head
Morbark Announces New Debarking Head The Morbark DeNubber debarking head, a direct replacement for the conventional debarking head, is equipped with cutting tools that are individually replaceable, quickly and inexpensively, saving money and reducing downtime. In addition, the cutters are carbide-tipped creating an end product of fine mulch rather than long, stringy material due to the cutters actually cutting the wood as opposed to “ripping” it. This results in a saleable mulch product that does not have to be reground. Jeff Grover, Morbark Sawmill Specialist remarks, “The DeNubber debarking head is a very low-cost and reliable method to cut costs out of a sawmill operation. The ease of changing the teeth increases efficiency and reduces downtime. In addition, the way the teeth are mounted decreases wear on the actual head itself.” The DeNubber debarking head is now standard equipment on Morbark-style debarkers (models 628, 636 and 640), as well as Morbark Rosserhead debarkers. It can also be easily retro-fit to model 628, 632, 636 and 640 Morbark-style debarkers, and, with modifications, can be retro-fit to Morbark 642 and 648 Rosserhead debarkers.
